Frustrated that the industry has become used to poor standards and unreliable delivery, Phoenix Design Solutions launched with the mission to leverage our experience with the aim of setting a new standard.
With a wealth of Telecoms industry experience, we provide critical project resource for our clients, as well as on-going support with design and build.
Although we are a relatively young business, we bring together a team with a collective experience exceeding 100 years, specialising in Wireless, Copper, and FTTP. Our services encompass tailored surveying, meticulous design, and a comprehensive as-built service, all underpinned by class leading reporting.
Andy Rooker, Managing Director, embarked on his telecoms journey in the late 1990s and has been actively involved in various facets of the industry ever since. Initially, he contributed to the CATV upgrade in Manchester and London, executing installations in Yorkshire, Humberside, and Lincolnshire. His responsibilities extended to splicing and testing the main fibre trunk route from Coventry to Penrith.
Andy played a crucial role in constructing some of the country's first FTTP areas, both underground and aerial. Subsequently, he transitioned into the realm of design, making significant contributions to the growth of a well-known design company in the UK.
Claire Fryatt, Commercial and Operations Director of Phoenix, brings an extensive knowledge of business operations from multiple sectors including utilities, customer service as well as telecoms. She looks for solutions to optimise processes, using technology and teamwork, while collaborating with clients and the team to guarantee solid partnerships and excellence in everything we do as a business.
The Phoenix team are experts, well-versed in PIA (Physical Infrastructure Access) and new build methodologies, covering both overhead and underground installations. Our Surveyors, Planners and QC specialists bring a wealth of experience from working in diverse ISPs, tackling design projects across the UK in both urban and rural settings. We work in a close-knit team, delivering cost-effective, high-quality and efficient designs, meeting tight CPP targets (Cost Per Premises) and utilising PIA or designing new builds as needed.
